Full disclosure: I've tried one of these in the past and it didn't work, dead straight out of the box. However, I have another of SiiPet's offerings, their gimbal pet camera, and I love it, so I thought I'd give this another try. I'm happy I did.

I recently adopted a little calico. It wasn't an ideal situation: she belonged to my mother whom I moved in to take care of when she developed cancer. She recently passed and so her cat was passed to me. She's a darling little thing and I love her, but for now I have to keep her isolated, at least until I can teach my very boisterous puppy not to chase her. She's a little older, between six and seven, so I'm concerned about her health. It's hard to diagnose some cat issues when it relates to excretory stuff, so when I saw this camera I had to try it.

It arrived in a small box and contained the camera, the mount, and a charging cable.

Setup was easy. Turn it on (there's only one button), connect to your phone with the app, stick the mount to the litterbox, and put the camera on the mount.

It works! I get daily alerts about my cat's bathroom habits. So far everything seems good to go, and it hasn't identified any problems yet. With my pet camera it alerts me if there's excessive barking or if my pet seems to be behaving oddly, but it takes some time of observing your pet before it predicts anything. I imagine it's the same with this camera, and the app shows it does take time to learn your pet's normal.

Overall I'm very happy with this litterbox camera. I hope that if she develops any issues that it will help me identify and treat so that she doesn't suffer needlessly.

Works great. This is great for keeping track of the health of your cat especially if you have a cat that is seriously ill and needs extra health attention. Nice to have an app that allows you to keep track when you can't be there for them when they need to go.

This is a handy easy to install a little pet camera. Whether you decide to watch your kitty in their litter box or like me you set it up to make sure the automatic feeder goes off. I'm always worried that the automatic feeder may not actually dispense food. So I want to keep an eye on it. The sap does have a camera setting and a subscription for additional use. It's a tough little camera that's easy to run and the view on your phone is quite good. It does work in the dark quite well. Also it's just plain cute come on look at the thing! It feels durable like if my cats decided to play with it it wouldn't be destroyed.

Found my cat's problem thanks to this cam

this is probably the best thing I bought since I started having cats. My cat had a bladder infection not long ago, and the vet asked me if I noticed anything strange with her bathroom habits, the app tracks how many times she goes, and I saw she was in there way more than normal.

By the way, we use a self cleaning litter box, so I need the camera to record before everything gets scooped away. The video is super clear, I could even see the size of the pee clumps.

I'd totally give it 10/10. It actually helps, not like some useless gadgets. Gives me a lot of peace of mind when I'm not home. Already told a few of my friends who have cats about it, and I'll keep recommending it cuz it's really been helpful.

As a mom to three cats, I've always struggled to figure out who's having issues when someone has or acts differently. Like, is it Mittens with her sensitive stomach or Peach with her anxiety? I used to feel so helpless trying to describe their symptoms to our vet.
But this litter box monitor really works! Last week, the app sent me a notification about "unusual frequency patterns" and "soft stool detection" for Peach. When we saw the vet, I didn't have to guess or rely on my shaky memory. I just opened the app and showed them Peach's health timeline, including bathroom visits, the changes in her stool consistency, and even how her patterns compared to the other cats.
The data helped our vet see that Peach's issue was stress-related (probably from the new neighbors'dog), not a serious medical condition. She was able to prescribe exactly what Peach needed instead of doing a bunch of expensive tests.
I also love that I can check in on my phone during work trips, and getting those instant alerts means I can catch problems before they become emergencies. It's like having a pet health assistant that never sleeps.
Seriously, if you have multiple cats, this is worth every penny - for you and your cats!
