Which litter boxes are compatible and where should I install the camera?

LitterLens is designed for flexibility. Here’s how to get the best placement for your box type:

  • For Standard Boxes (Open-Top, High Sided, or Enclosed): You have two options: mount it on a flat inner side of the litter box or on an adjacent wall. Use the "Live View" in the app to find the perfect angle that sees the entire litter area.
  • For Automatic (Smart) Boxes: Compatibility depends entirely on finding a suitable mounting spot. You can mount it on a flat inner wall of the cabin only if you can find a spot that meets these four rules:
  • It is a flat surface for the adhesive.
  • It does NOT obstruct any moving parts (like rakes or a rotating globe).
  • It does NOT block your cat's access.
  • It allows a full, clear view of the entire litter area.

What is the single most important step for a successful setup?

Placement. The #1 most critical factor is ensuring that the LitterLens camera is within close distance to the litter box and that it has a full, unobstructed view of the entire litter surface. Which litter boxes are compatible and where should I install the camera?

After setup, check the live view in "Real-time" on the homepage and manually adjust the angle of the camera. Make sure that the litter box is at the bottom of the view and the entire litter area is visible.

I have a petkit puramax 2 and i mounted the adorable owl shaped webcam right inside: i have to say everything is perfect, except for the adhesive strip failing me a lil too often. But worry not! The magnets are here to help! Problem 100% fixed, i have not a single care in the world now! The absolutely adorable customer care team is a BIG PLUS! ❤️❤️❤️

We use these at our cat rescue, we have a total of 6 cameras and all have this mount.. the cameras are awesome (sometimes a hit or miss but pretty great overall!)

BUT the magnetic mounts are not it. The cats are constantly playing and knocking it over so the magnets/cameras always fall by the morning.

i'm replacing them with the goose attachment and hoping it does better. But if you have playful babies would not recommend the magnetic mount!

The magnetic mounts were designed primarily for quick adjustments and easy removal, which means the magnetic strength isn't built to withstand persistent cat paws. The gooseneck mounts offer a much more secure, physical grip that holds up great against playful kitties.
